Major Drill Program Commences at Christmas Creek
High-impact drill program now underway, initially at the Martin Prospect
Highlights
•
Drill contractor Precision Exploration has arrived on site following a slight delay due to
unseasonally heavy rainfall last week.
•
Pre-drilling heritage and earthworks complete.
•
Ground gravity, passive seismic and drone magnetics geophysical surveying complete.
•
RC drilling will initially target extensions of the previously reported high-grade intervals at
the Martin target in drill-hole 24XRC097, including:
▪
▪
•
•
10m @ 12.66g/t Au from 59m; and
10m @ 7.34g/t Au from 94m
RC drilling will also target mineralisation at the Zahn and Coogan targets, following up on
encouraging results from the 2024 drilling with intercepts including:
▪ 28m @ 0.18g/t Au from 20m in 24XCRC074, including:
▪ 7m @ 0.35g/t Au from 26m, with 1m @ 0.65g/t Au from 29m
Heritage surveying is underway, paving the way to test additional targets this program.

Trek Metals Limited (ASX: TKM) (“Trek” or the “Company”) is pleased to advise that the Company’s
drilling contractor, Precision Exploration Drilling, has arrived on site ready to commence drilling at the
100%-owned Christmas Creek Gold Project in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
Trek Metals’ CEO Derek Marshall, said:
“The start of this high-impact drill program marks the culmination of months of preparations by
our team. The rig was slightly delayed getting to site by unseasonally heavy rains last week, with
up to 50mm falling at site and 100mm across the region. However, Precision Drilling’s RC rig is
now on site and ready to go – and exciting moment for all of us!
“The first few holes will be drilled underneath, down-dip and along strike from the high-grade
intercepts achieved at the Martin Prospect last year, as we aim to fully delineate what we believe
to be a significant stacked high-grade vein system. The rig will later move to test the Zahn and
Coogan targets, and potentially additional areas as we have just commenced an additional round
of heritage surveying.
“We are looking forward to seeing what the current round of drilling reveals and will provide
regular updates to our shareholders.”
The initial focus of this drilling program will be multiple lines of Reverse Circulation drilling around,
beneath and along strike from the high-grade intercepts reported at the Martin Prospect in drill-hole
24XRC097, including:
▪
▪
10m @ 12.66g/t Au from 59m; and
10m @ 7.34g/t Au from 94m
Visible gold in drill chips was observed following further analysis of the previously reported high-grade
gold intervals from the Martin Prospect (refer to ASX Announcement 18th March 2025: “Visible Gold
in Drill Chips from Christmas Creek”). This together with recently reported down-hole televiewer data,
confirming a series of stacked/sheeted veins, supporting drilling targeting interpreted extensions to
the high-grade orogenic gold veins at Martin.
The drilling should help to define any plunge component to the system that should aid in targeting
further mineralised extensions. Wider spaced lines are also planned to help define the extent of highgrade mineralisation.
The Zahn Target (refer to ASX announcement, 10th March 2025: “Zahn and Coogan emerging as
significant large-scale targets”) also represents a compelling target given the limited amount of work
completed to date, the presence of wide zones of low-grade gold mineralisation and the coincidence
of later fluid focusing structures intersecting these broad zones, which could focus and upgrade the
mineralisation into economic accumulations.
The drilling program aims to test this theory at the Zahn target and define higher-grade gold zones
associated with the previously identified broad low-grade zones.

G5 metallogenic lineament corridors, potentially representing the intersection of the Granites-Tanami Orogen & the Halls
Creek Orogen.
Christmas Creek Project (Kimberley, Western Australia)
Located south-west of Halls Creek, the Christmas Creek Project comprises a previously unexplored,
largely concealed district-scale gold and rare earths exploration opportunity in the Kimberley region
of WA associated with major continental-scale tectonic lineament intersections.
The Christmas Creek Project was previously part of Newmont Exploration Pty Ltd’s (Newmont) global
exploration portfolio with Trek acquiring the project in the December 2023. The Company has also
secured additional tenement applications to add to this district-scale greenfields gold and rare earths
exploration project.
